Iran Protests

This dataset is regarding the Iran protests (often termed the “Woman, Life, Freedom” or Mahsa Amini protests) against compulsory Sharia law, mandatory hijab, gender oppression, and other inequalities, which is maintained by several international human rights organizations, academic repositories, and media monitoring groups. The protests began in September 2022 following the death of Mahsa Amini in morality police custody, who was actively participating against the oppression.
